| Jeremy Lafreniere, a former elementary school teacher, has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Royce Gracie for more than a decade. He currently holds the rank of brown belt, and is the highest ranking instructor under Royce Gracie in the Washington DC area. Jeremy is directly responsible for the instruction of top amateur and emerging professional Mixed Martial Arts fighters as well as military and law enforcement personnel, members of elite Special Forces and tactical units, and anyone dedicated to elite combat arts training. He has dedicated himself to helping men, women and children in the Washington DC area benefit from the proven, accessible art of Jiu-Jitsu, as pioneered by the Gracie family. |

Jay Ferrari has been a member of Capital Jiu Jitsu since its inception, having begun training under founder and Royce Gracie brown belt Jeremy Lafreniere in 2003. He holds the rank of purple belt, and continues to train regularly with Royce and Rodrigo Gracie. In addition to Jiu Jitsu, he has studied Muay Thai kickboxing, Wing Chun kung fu, Anusara yoga, and is currently pursuing Russian Kettlebell Challenge certification.
